Day of Prayer for China and May Procession
We will have our annual day of prayer for China and May Procession in honor of Mary this Sunday, May 24. There will be one Mass at 11:15 AM and immediately afterwards, we will offer a snack to all who are present. After the quick snack, we will begin the procession to Saint John Church where we will have a May Crowning. Since it is the year of Saint Francis, the procession to Saint John’s is also a Saint Francis pilgrimage.
Funeral for Addie Mong
Addie Mong was a graduate of Holy Redeemer School. She and her family have a long history with Holy Redeemer. We celebrated her brother Harry’s funeral a few years ago at Holy Redeemer.
Addie’s funeral will be tomorrow, Saturday, May 23 at 10 AM.
11:15 Mass
When the 11:15 Mass ends late, it creates problems for our Sunday School and Mandarin Mass communities. Starting next week, we will begin the 11:15 English Mass at 11:15, the scheduled start time.

Holy Redeemer School Spotlight
Happy May! We hope this message finds you well as we enter the final stretch of the school year. It’s hard to believe there are less than six weeks left, but we still have many meaningful and exciting experiences ahead for our students.
Our 4th–8th grade students recently had the opportunity to visit the Museum of the American Revolution, where they explored how this pivotal moment in history shaped our nation and influenced the world. It was a valuable and engaging learning experience for all who attended.
Back on campus, students have been busy with hands-on learning through our garden project—planting flowers to take home and helping beautify our school garden. At the same time, classrooms are preparing for end-of-trimester assessments, while our kindergarten students are getting ready for their transition into 1st grade. It’s a season of growth, reflection, and celebration.
Please take note of the following important upcoming dates:
- Monday, May 25: No School – Memorial Day
- Thursday, May 28: Spirit Day
