HR Carnival Update and request for donations/volunteers

Message from Principal Susan Chan-

Thank you again for all of your help in preparing for our upcoming School Carnival on Saturday, September 12, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm! We are getting closer to the big day, and I would like to ask for everyone’s help with two important areas: donations and volunteers.

We are looking for donations of gift cards, prizes, gift baskets, food, drinks, and other items that we can use for carnival games, raffles, and activities. Donations from local businesses, family members, friends, and community organizations would be greatly appreciated.

If you know of a business or organization that may be willing to donate, please reach out to them and let them know that the donation will support Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic School and our students. Please let me know about any businesses or individuals you contact so we can keep track of the donations and make sure everyone receives a proper thank-you.

We also need volunteers to help run the games and activities during the carnival. We will need people to staff the different game stations, help with prizes, assist with activities, and make sure everything runs smoothly throughout the afternoon.

If you are available to help, please let me know what you can donate.  Any amount of items (food or prizes) you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping make our carnival a great celebration for our students and families!

Family Day

Our Mandarin Group is sponsoring a Family Day gathering on Labor Day, September 7, 11 AM-4 PM at Saint Timothy Church grounds at 3001 Levick St, Northeast Philadelphia.  All are welcome!  Please stop by if you can.

Community Event to support the Crane

Please consider purchasing tickets for the upcoming Philly Pops, “Hits from the Broadway Stage” at Crane Community Center as a way to support cultural programming at Crane.

This concert is an evening of music and represents something we have long worked toward: bringing high-quality cultural experiences to Chinatown and reenforcing Crane as a destination for arts, culture, and community gathering.

On September 27th, the Philly Pops will be performing in the heart of Chinatown at Crane. The Philly Pops is one of Philadelphia’s most recognized musical institutions.

This event is the result of an idea, passion, and hard work of many partners, including Artcinia, the Philly Pops, Haoyi Shang, Shuya Guan, and Virginia Lam of the Asian American Women’s Coalition, as well as the support of Artcinia’s grant funding.

Tickets can be purchased here using this LINK.
