Announcements
Collection for the Catholic Military Archdiocesel
We are asked to take up a special collection to support Catholic ministry to men and women serving in the military. Our military men and women put themselves in danger to protect our country. Many are Catholics and the Catholic Church provides priests and other spiritual services to support them. Catholic ministry to those in the military is especially important in this time of war. The collection will be next Sunday, April 19. Please be generous.
Congratulations
Saints Neumann and Goretti Catholic High School announced that Holy Redeemer alumna Serena Zheng was awarded second honors.
Washington DC Pilgrimage
There is an annual Asian American Mass and pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception each May. We have not participated in the past. This year, I have committed to attend and all Holy Redeemer parishioners and friends are welcome. It is Saturday, May 2.
We hope to visit the Shrines of Saint John Paul and the Holy Land, in addition to the Mass at the National Shrine.
There will be a sign up sheet in the back of the church. Depending on how many sign up, we may take a bus or a van or several vans. I don’t know the cost yet, but I will assure that it is modest.
We will leave Holy Redeemer at 7:30 AM and return around 7:30 PM in the evening.
