Message from HR youth parishioner

Hello to my fellow Holy Redeemer parishioners,

My name is Hazelle Jap, and I am a junior at St. Hubert Catholic high school.

This November, I will be attending the National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis along with 6 other students from my school and thousands of other youth from across the United States. I am excited for the opportunity to join with like-minded, joyful young Catholics to experience God and His Church.

NCYC is a three day conference that includes nationally known speakers, workshops, concerts, daily Mass, adoration, confessions, and the time to meet other teens from all different walks of life. The 2025 theme, I Am | Yo Soy, will reflect on the time God appeared to Moses through the burning bush and explore how the Sacraments are the living story of God’s love, uniting us with Him through Jesus and the Church. Through the Sacraments, we encounter the fullness of salvation and the tangible presence of Emmanuel—God with us. I look forward to receiving the sacraments and having a tangible encounter with Christ through this experience.

However, due to travel, hotel, and conference ticket expenses, NCYC costs almost $900 per person, a cost I cannot afford to pay on my own. I am asking for your generous support, to invest in me and my friends and the future of our Church. With your support, I can bring back all I learn and experience to make my school, our parish and our community more fully alive in Christ.

Thank you for your consideration and generosity. Please keep me and the other attendees in your prayers, as we will keep you in ours.  Father Tom has given me permission to place an offering box in the back of our church.

May God bless you!
