Pilgrimage to France

We have a total of 42 people either signed up or committed to sign up.  There are not many places open, so if you want to join the pilgrimage, please sign up this week. We did not open the pilgrimage to the public since it seems now that Holy Redeemer folks will fill the pilgrimage.  For more information, check out the brochure.

Father Tom was invited to preach the annual retreat for the priests and bishops of Hong Kong from November 4-8.  He will leave for Hong Kong on November 1.

Gospel of Luke Zoom Class: Begins December 4, 7-8:30pm

Last year, retired Villanova Scripture Professor Paul Danove, offered a weekly class on the Gospel of Mark. The class was well received.  This year, beginning December 4, he will teach the Gospel of Luke.  If you wish to receive zoom invitations each week to the class, email Father Tom pastor@stjohnsphilly.com.

Holy Redeemer School Spotlight

There is no school on Friday, Nov 1st for All Saints Day.

On Thursday, October 31, Holy Redeemer School is having its Halloween Carnival. There will be a best-costume contest for each grade, parties in each room, followed by a carnival and haunted house.  The 7th & 8th graders are creating the carnival activities and will be running them.  They also are producing a “haunted house” in the Angelus building.

On Tuesday, November 5th, Holy Redeemer School will be visiting the Philadelphia Zoo.  Thanks to the zoo’s free field trip program and the generosity of the Holy Redeemer Alumni Association who is supplying the bus transportation, the day will be free of charge for the children and their chaperones.
