Rosary for Andy Chan

May 22 is Andy’s birthday.  Parishioners and friends are invited to join for a rosary for Andy and his family on Thursday, May 23 at 7 PM.  A zoom invitation will be sent to our bulletin email list.

AAWC’s Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following members of the Holy Redeemer Community who have been awarded scholarships by Asian American Women’s Coalition:

Selina Chen – ’20 – Boston University

Giselle Jap – University of Notre Dame

Joy Luis – ’20 – Penn State or Widener

Their scholarships total $16,000.  They will be honored at an awards banquet on Thursday, May 16.

Missionary Sisters of the Most Blessed Trinity

The Trinitarian Sisters served Holy Redeemer Church and School for many years.  In gratitude for their loving service of our community, each Mother’s Day we have a second collection to help the medical and retirement needs of these Sisters. The collection will be next Sunday, May 12.

Mass for China and Procession in honor of the Blessed Mother

Our annual Mass and procession will be Sunday, May 19 at 11:15 AM.  There will be ONE Mass that Sunday followed by a procession.  

Summer Picnic

Mark your calendar. Holy Redeemer’s summer picnic will be on June 22 at Saint Charles Seminary.

Holy Redeemer Open House

Our next open house for families considering Holy Redeemer for their children’s education is Tuesday, May 7 from 1-2 PM.  Please invite families with school age children to visit Holy Redeemer School.

Holy Redeemer School Spotlight

The students presented and participated in a wonderful Mass and liturgy dedicated to Mary this past Wednesday with a May Procession, the crowning of Mary, blessing of rosaries topped off with First Communion for two of our students.

The 7th and 8th graders were driven to Washington DC last Friday (May 3rd) by Fr. Tom and Ms. Angela Vales to visit the Basics of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the St. John Paul II Shrine, and the Franciscan Monastery.

Randy Lim, class of 2020 at HR, now a senior at Roman Catholic High School, has received a full scholarship to attend Carnegie Mellon University.
