On Sunday, September 17 at 2:30 PM, Holy Redeemer parishioners are invited to visit the cemetery, see the section that can be reserved for Chinese Catholics and learn about purchasing cemetery lots. Father Tom and Father Joseph will be present. Refreshments will be served.

PCA Listening Session on PA’s Master Plan for Older Adults
The Philadelphia Corporation for Aging will host a listening session on Pennsylvania’s Master Plan for Older Adults – a 10-year, state-led and stakeholder-driven strategic plan designed to help transform the infrastructure and coordination of services for older Pennsylvanians. The master plan will also reflect the needs and preferences of this population to live where they choose and access the supports they need to thrive and age in place. The listening session will take place at 10:00 AM on September 11, 2023 at On Lok House. Stakeholders, older adults and people living with disabilities, their families, caregivers and community leaders are invited to hear an overview of the plan and why such a plan is needed for Pennsylvania. There will be opportunities for those in attendance to provide comments and input on the plan.
See the attached flyer for instructions on how to RSVP.

Congratulations to Dr. Cancelliere, Ms. Leung, and all the dedicated teachers for the good work they do!
School resumes on Wednesday, Sept 6. The regular school hours are the same as last year – 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
We welcome Mr. Joshua Schuster who is coming onboard to teach at Holy Redeemer School. He will be teaching 2nd grade until other teachers come aboard.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Spotlight
Thanks to our partnership with the Episcopal Conference for Catholic Education, the USAID-funded Continuity of Learning (known locally as “Ann Kontiniye Apprann”) project organized summer remedial reading camps in 6 communes in southern Haiti. The children who participated not only had a lot of fun this summer, but they also learned a lot!
Around 200 children in southern Haiti participated in summer camp activities with the goal of helping them improve their reading skills. Through tutoring and a variety of games, singing, and dancing activities, these young learners in Haiti gained a lot of progress in their reading levels! Visit www.crs.org for more information and to see how you can help!
